Snow, glorious Snow!

Our family went up to Yosemite National Park last Saturday and experienced the snow on the the valley floor.  It was FABULOUS!  God, our creator, is awesome!

The only regret we have was in not getting up there earlier in the day and leaving earlier for home.  We got a bit caught in a snow storm that brought snow levels down to less than 1500 feet. (The Yosemite Valley floor is at about 4000 ft.) Keep in mind that when it comes to snow, we are complete noobs and did not have any snow tires.  As the evening progressed, we found ourselves driving in low gear so as to avoid hitting any ice patches. We were never so happy to see the snow finally change to rain.  :)  We made it home just fine and the kids were mostly not aware of the hazardous conditions.
